Brief Description
Phosphoric Acid is an inorganic acid that in its pure anhydrous state presents itelf as a white solid which melts at 42.35 degrees Celsius to form a colorless viscous liquid. Phosphoric acid may be used as a “rust converter”, by direct application to rusted iron or steel surfaces. Food grade phosphoric acid is used to acidify foods and beverages as it provides a tangy sour taste. Phosphoric acd is also used in dentistry and orthodontics as an etching solution and as an ingredient in over-the-counter anti-nausea medications.
